Computers slow down the more you use them. That is a fact of life that all of us know to be true without doing any research. When you first start to use your new computer after you just get it, or just install a new operating system, and it will seem to speed along like a racing car driver. But then you set about actually installing the software that you need to actually get some work done, like Office, some graphics programs, some games, some of those freebie disks on the front of computer magazines, a few free software utilities from the web and before you know it your once fast computer is chugging along like a 19th century steam train.

That was exactly the position I found myself in. And we all know how frustrating a position it is to be in. It seems so unfair. Those people that hardly use their computers at all get great speed, while those of use who actually use computers every day, get mind-numbingly slow speed. And yet we are the ones who actually need the speed!
I used Registry Defense to overcome those problems and dramatically speed up my PC. And in this article I am going to discuss my experiences with it.
So, first of all, why does your computer slow down when you actually use it? At first that doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense. If you use your car a lot then it doesn’t slow up, or if you use your TV or your iron, you still get predictable results (even over long periods of time). So why should using a computer be any different?
The reason lies with something called the ‘Windows Registry’. If you search around on the internet you can find all manner of technical explanations as to the way this works. The different minutiae of what it accomplishes. But for our purposes you don’t need any of that.
The Windows Registry is basically like a giant filing cabinet. If you imagine a big old filing cabinet in the corner of the room, then when you first install your operating system, or get a new PC with one installed on it. It is a bit like the filing cabinet only containing 1 file. It isn’t therefore that difficult to see why your computer finds it very easy to find what it is looking for. It only has 1 file to look through. And so all the different operations are extremely quick.
When however you install further programs, or browse the web or basically do anything with your computer, each of those different installs and processes are the equivalent top adding extra files to your filing cabinet. So, over time your PC has to increasingly look through more files to find what it needs. This takes longer than before, but isn’t necessarily a big problem.
However, when you then delete files or uninstall programs, it is a bit like removing a file from the filing cabinet. Most of the time it goes fine. But every now and then you drop some pages where you shouldn’t, or forget to remove a file that was a part of that program. And over time they get put in the wrong files, or even mislabelled. So that when you next go to look for a file, it may contain the wrong information.
This is the problem that Registry Defense is designed to solve.
The program looks through the filing cabinet and tells you if the files are in the right order, removes files that no longer belong and optimizes the order of the files. In other words, it’s a bit like going from having a stack of random, mixed up files, to having a neatly alphabetised filing cabinet.
Ask yourself, is it easier to find files in a pile. Or in a neatly organised filing cabinet?
If the pile is only a few papers deep, then maybe it can work well enough. But when the piles start taking over all of your floor space, then pretty soon the filed version becomes MUCH quicker to use.
This was exactly the position I found myself in with my Windows XP machine. It was several years old, and was slow as hell. It had a ton of programs installed on it, and despite a ton of ram was slow to use.
I did a FREE Registry Defense Scan Here >>
It identified 47 different conflicts in my ‘filing system’ (the windows registry) that were causing my PC to run slow.
I literally then just pressed one button to fix it! I didn’t really believe it would work, because it seemed too simple. But the difference was amazing. It went from crawling along at a snails pace to being noticeably responsive in use.
The program is fully compatible with all the latest Windows Versions, and is both 32 Bit and 64 Bit compatible. And honestly, is the best 20 minute ‘Upgrade’ I have EVER carried out on my PC.
It sped it up things more then anything else I have ever tried.
So, if your windows system is driving you to distraction, then do what I did, and scan your system and fix the problems!
